Javier Sanchez Director | Producer of "The Story of Big Tex" Documentary. This Iconic Texas Giant Cowboy has been a symbol of the annual State Fair of Texas since 1952. In 1949 Big Tex was originally a giant Santa Claus in the small town of Kerens, Texas. Meet Rusty Fitzgerald who has taken care of Big Tex for more than 21 years, he makes sure that every detail of clothing, hat and boots are in place before he goes up at Big Tex Circle every year before the fair starts. In 2019 Big Tex welcomed more than 2.5 million people to The State Fair of Texas.

I had the honor of covering most of Kobe Bryant's NBA Career. Mostly when The LA Lakers would play in Dallas. I recall his rookie year when I interviewed him in both English and Spanish after the game. This is a one and only photo that a Dallas newspaper reporter snapped before the interview took place. R.I.P. 8/24 Kobe Bryant.
